Object Name Pendant, plaque
Description Shield-shaped, on it woman with rectangular object in her right hand. Eyelets around the edge partially broken off. "Pendant plaques are worn suspended from the waist. ... All are shaped in the form of a shield and rise at the top centrer, to form a largish suspension eyelet. All have a border of eyelets to which crotals were attached. Five types can be distinguished. .. In the third type a female figure, probably that of a queen mother, is represented wearing strands of beads crossing on the chest and a coral bead cap. .. the figure is shown holding up a square object in the right hand (mirror?) .(Dark, 56) PUBL Kat. 1975: Abb. 9 LIT Pitt-Rivers. 1976: pl.
